I made my voice demo into an echo.

 Mp3: A size compressed audio which is the main format for transmitting audio over the internet.

AAC: Files that most of the time contain MA4.

Ogg Vorbis: An open sorce size compressed audio format

Audacity A5

I'd played the voice demo and took out the extra 20 seconds of the sound beat I had put in . Then moved my voice demo to the middle on the sound track.

Audacity project format: The format in witch Audacity stores its project.

Hz: Measures a frequency event in a number of cycles per second.

kHz: One kilohertz = 1000 Hz

Audacity A4

I went to Freesound and got myself a sound that would sound nice with my voice in it. Then i dragged it to the audacity recovered.

Sample:
A discrete at a point in a waveform representing audio at that point.

Sample Rate: 
Measured in Hz, this represents the number of digital samples captured per second in order to represent waveform.

Sample Format:
Known as Bit Depth or Word Size. The number of computer bits present in each audio sample.

Audacity A3



I selected half of the waveform, went to the effect menu, and selected Fade in. For the other half I did the same thing and pressed Fade out

Linear: 
 A simple, directly proportional.

Logarithmic: 
 A non-linear relationship where one item proportional to the logarithm of the other item.

Amplify:
 Makes sound louder.

Audacity A2



What I had done was hold the Ctrl button then press A on the keyboard. Then went to the effect menu and then pressed the amplify.

Amplitude:

The level or magnitude of a signal. Audio signals with a higher amplitude will sound louder.


dB:

Decibels. A logarithmic unit (typically of sound pressure) describing the ratio of that unit to a reference level.

There are different audio file formats for storing audio on a computer.

  • WAV format is widely used on Windows and is needed for creating an audio CD. 
  • AIFF is widely used on Apple's operating systems. 
  • Compressed formats are used on portable music players..
Waveform:
Visual representation of an audio signal.

Wav: 
 container format, almost always used for lossless, uncompressed, PCM audio.
